Where Is Corozal Located ?

    Corozal District is located in the northernmost district of Belize and close to the borders of the Mexican side of Quintana Roo. IT lies 80 miles north of Belize City and Corozal Town is located on a former site of an ancient Maya city which known as Santa Rita, this is why a structure on the round about on the Philip Goldson Highway which was depicted of the Maya who once lived on Corozal grounds which was referred as Chactemal.
